Contractor Requirements

CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION

Contractor registration can be done by sending the required documents listed below to building@somifl.gov.

STATE CERTIFIED CONTRACTORS

Copies of your County Local Business Tax Receipt
State of Florida License

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY CERTIFIED CONTRACTORS

Copies of the Local Business Tax Receipt
Certificate of Competency

ALL CONTRACTORS

A Certificate of Insurance for general liability must be sent to the city by mail or email, listing the City of South Miami as the certificate holder.

Workers’ Compensation shall be included in the Certificate of Insurance unless you submit a State of Florida Construction Industry Certificate of Exemption.
