The City of South Miami Reaches “Functional Zero” Homelessness Milestone
Kicking off October 11th with Country Night Featuring Ricky Valido and Southern Soul Country Swing
SOUTH MIAMI, FL – The City of South Miami is thrilled to announce the return of the award winning SoMi Second Saturdays Night Market, back for its second season beginning Saturday, October 11, 2025, and running monthly through April 11, 2026. This vibrant community event brings together shopping, dining, dancing, and live entertainment in the heart of SoMi.
The season opener on October 11th will set the tone with a special Country Night, featuring a high-energy performance by Ricky Valido from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, followed by Illmanik DJ & the Southern Soul Country Swing line dance team keeping the crowd moving from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
SoMi Second Saturdays transforms SW 73rd Street & SW 58th Avenue into a lively night market where visitors can:
- SHOP from local artisans and vendors
- EAT delicious bites from food vendors and restaurants
- DRINK refreshing beverages
- DANCE the night away with live music and entertainment
- FREE Parking in our Municipal Garage (5829 Southwest 73rd Street) all day long

Vendor applications are now open and wanted apply HERE.
Vendor recruitment and event support are provided in collaboration with Miami Friendors, a South Florida–based organization that works with local artisans, food vendors, and small businesses.
“SoMi Second Saturdays has quickly become one of our most anticipated community events, bringing residents, families, and visitors together to celebrate culture, food, and music in a fun and safe atmosphere,” said Mayor Javier Fernández.
The 2025–2026 season will continue on the second Saturday of each month through April, each night featuring a new theme, live performances, and opportunities to support local businesses.
